Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Deputy Procurement/Contracts Manager to support the Procurement/Contracts Manager in leading the procurement and subcontracting program in compliance with FAR/DEAR and DOE directives. This working supervisor role awards and administers subcontracts and POs and provides day-to-day leadership to procurement staff.

You will oversee lifecycle activities, ensure audit readiness, and interface with DOE CO, project teams, and legal, with opportunities to present at small business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Contracts, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support procurement lifecycle from planning to closeout.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DEAR, DOE directives and internal procedures.
• Review and approve procurement docs, price reasonableness, and sole-source justifications.
• Assist in strategy, contract type selection, and evaluation methods.
• Oversee subcontract administration, including modifications and closeout.
• Ensure proper flow-down of FAR/DEAR clauses.
• Support audit readiness and DOE procurement reviews.
• Interface with DOE CO, project teams, and finance/legal; present at conferences.
• Provide leadership and training to procurement staff.
• Act on behalf of the Procurement/Contracts Manager as delegated.
