Job description

By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Deployments Team manages the coordination and execution of fielding Anduril’s hardware and software products worldwide. Working across Product, Engineering, Growth, Business Development, Technical Operations, and Mission Operations, Deployments oversees forward logistics, site installation, maintenance & repairs, field inventory management, sustainment and reverse logistics. The team is central to ensuring effective customer and mission success, shaping the future of Anduril’s defense solutions.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Deputy Logistics Program Manager to join our rapidly growing team in Costa Mesa, CA. In this role, you will act as the working-level owner of how our advanced systems are supported, translating high-level strategies into real-world execution. This is a rigorous DoD acquisition logistics role—focused on supportability analysis, lifecycle planning, and contract execution—designed for a builder who wants to own the numbers and the results.
As the Deputy LPM, you own the technical baseline that drives the program forward. While the LPM defines the high-level support construct and contractual commitments, you are accountable for the analytical substance those decisions rest on and the deliverables we ship to the customer. Within your assigned scope, you have the autonomy to decide and execute; outside of it, you develop the strategic recommendations for the LPM’s sign-off.
The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of acquisition logistics, systems engineering, and program management. You are equally comfortable presenting to a government program office in a sustainment IPT and working a provisioning list line-by-line. This is a builder's role on a rapidly scaling program, offering a clear path to full Logistics Program Manager (LPM) ownership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Deliver the Technical Baseline: Author and own the sustainment CDRL suite (LSP, LORA, SSPCL, PTD, Tech Manuals per MIL-STD-40051, and GEIA-STD-0007). Translate engineering analyses (FMECA, RCM, MTA) into provisioning quantities, maintenance intervals, and support equipment lists.
  • Manage Supply & Maintenance Execution: Manage day-to-day repair-and-return pipelines, track turnaround times, and build provisioning baselines (spares, forecasting). Ensure 100% accuracy of physical and digital property records (GFP and contractor-managed) across CONUS and OCONUS sites.
  • Build the Process & Execute: Identify program gaps and build the SOPs, trackers, and data standards to close them. Proactively surface unaddressed risks, take ownership of unassigned problems, and execute hands‑on—from writing procedures to supporting field activations—to keep deployments on track.
  • Influence Strategy & Design: Partner with the LPM to build the LCSP and Product Support Business Case Analyses (organic/CLS/PBL). Represent supportability at design reviews (SRR/PDR/CDR) to ensure reliability and maintainability are baked into the design, and run the DMSMS program to mitigate obsolescence.
  • Drive Cost, Performance, & Customer Interface: Build O&S cost estimates, analyze performance metrics (Ao, MTBF/MTTR), and serve as the secondary voice to government stakeholders (DAPM-LOG, depot planners). Direct junior logisticians and deputize for the LPM in reviews as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, business/operations, or a related technical field (equivalent experience may be substituted in lieu of education).
  • 5+ years of progressively complex acquisition logistics, product support, or sustainment program management supporting a DoD environment or comparable government programs. Relevant experience includes lifecycle logistics, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Integrated Product Support (IPS), or Product Support Manager (PSM) roles.
  • Hands‑on, end‑to‑end ownership of at least two IPS elements on a DoD or comparable government acquisition program.
  • Working knowledge of the 12 IPS elements and DoD product support strategy and policy, with hands‑on depth in areas such as maintenance planning, supply support, technical data, support equipment, or PHS&T.
  • Direct experience authoring and delivering logistics CDRLs against DIDs, including comment resolution and revision cycles to government acceptance.
  • Familiarity with supportability analyses such as LORA, LMI / Logistics Product Data, SERD, provisioning, and RAM / RAM‑C analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable owning sustainment models and datasets independently and standing behind the numbers.
  • Demonstrated success operating in an ambiguous, undefined, or rapidly changing environment—building processes where none existed rather than administering legacy processes.
  • Bias toward action; a proven track record of identifying unowned problems and taking accountability for them without being asked.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills sufficient to interface effectively with engineering, management, customers, and government representatives.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export‑controlled information or facilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • U.S. Government or Military program office experience (e.g., Deputy PSM, DAPM‑LOG, APML, or equivalent).
  • Prior service as an ILS Manager, IPS Manager, Lifecycle Logistician, Logistics Management Specialist, or Deputy PSM on a DoD acquisition program of record.
  • Missile, munitions, or all‑up‑round sustainment experience, including consumable‑item support models where traditional field‑level maintenance does not apply.
  • Familiarity with AFLCMC, AFMC, NAVAIR, NAVSEA, or NSWC sustainment processes.
  • DAWIA certification in Life Cycle Logistics (or coursework toward it).
  • Experience supporting the stand‑up of a CLS or PBL construct, including depot source of repair determination and Core/50‑50 analysis.
  • Experience with technical manual development (MIL‑STD‑40051), IETM authoring, or Technical Data Package validation.
  • Experience with DMSMS and obsolescence management.
  • Familiarity with logistics and configuration management systems (e.g., GCSS, ICAPS, CDMD‑OA, or PLM/ERP sustainment modules).
  • Government proposal and business case analysis (BCA) support experience.
  • Experience at a startup, a new program start, or an organization scaling rapidly (or serving as the first or only logistician supporting a program).
  • Strong interest in progressing to full Logistics Program Manager (LPM) ownership of a program’s product support strategy.
