Job summary

Intrepid Potash is seeking a senior transactional attorney to partner with executive leadership and drive strategic growth through mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate development initiatives.

You will oversee due diligence, transaction execution, regulatory filings, and post‑closing integration while advising on contracts, risk, and disputes. This role focuses on building a growing, public company with robust governance practices.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible legal experience with significant M&A and corporate transactions.
• Litigation experience including managing disputes and overseeing outside counsel.
• Familiarity with natural resources, mining, agriculture, manufacturing, industrial operations, water rights, energy, or infrastructure industries.

Responsibilities

• Serve as lead legal advisor on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic investments, and other corporate development initiatives.
• Coordinate and oversee legal due diligence activities, transaction execution, regulatory filings, and post-closing integration activities.
• Provide practical legal counsel regarding contract interpretation, dispute avoidance, risk allocation, and commercial negotiations.
• Support SEC reporting obligations, securities law compliance, disclosure controls, and public company governance activities.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to develop policies, procedures, and contract management practices that improve operational efficiency while appropriately managing legal risk.
