CACI International Inc. is seeking a Deputy Team Lead for the NASA Space Reactor -1 Flight Software Production in Houston, TX.

The role supports the SR-1 program at NASA JSC with leadership and technical expertise in embedded software systems for a human-rated space vehicle subsystem. You will mentor a 5-10+ person team, drive feature prioritization, verification planning, and customer communications while contributing to prototype, requirements, design, test, and certification activities for

Qualifications

• BS in Computer, Software, Aerospace, Electrical or Systems Engineering or related discipline.
• MS in related discipline is a plus.
• Experience in safety-critical software or aerospace contexts is valued.

Responsibilities

• Serve as deputy to a lead to supervise a 5-10+ software team.
• Plan verification, sprint planning and release content with stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team development.
• Coordinate recruiting efforts and team assignments.
• Design and develop SR-1 Flight Software and perform systems engineering tasks.
• Integrate and test software/hardware in avionics test beds and flight certification environments.
• Communicate complex ideas to users and management effectively.
