Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is recruiting a Deputy Division Head for the Applied Sustainment Division (AST) within the ARL. This on-site position leads engineers and scientists in business development, proposal development, and strategic planning to identify new sponsors and opportunities.

You will mentor staff, supervise labor planning, and help analyze division funding to enable data-driven decisions, while supporting recruitment and performance reviews. Location: State College, PA.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success leading a team of engineers/scientists.
• Experience developing proposals and presenting to sponsors.
• Ability to work across large, multi-organization projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning for identifying new business opportunities.
• Develop proposals and projects advancing sustainment technologies.
• Mentor staff and manage performance through reviews.
• Oversee labor planning and recruitment.
• Collaborate with Division Head on financial analytics for data-driven decisions.
