Polk County, Oregon seeks an attorney to perform functions for the District Attorney's Office, including criminal case intake, guidance to law enforcement, and appearances before grand juries and state courts. Primary caseload covers misdemeanor and simple felonies from report submission to resolution.

The position requires a law degree, Oregon Bar membership in good standing, and preferred practice experience. Valid driver’s license and vehicle access are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of law.
• Member of the Oregon Bar at the time of appointment and remain in good standing.
• Prefer some experience in the practice of law; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsabilités

• Perform functions of the District Attorney's Office, including criminal case intake and guidance to law enforcement.
• Appear before the grand jury, circuit and juvenile courts.
• Carry primary caseload responsibility for misdemeanor and simple felony cases from submission of reports to final resolution.
