Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Represent the DA's office in criminal proceedings, including scheduling, negotiations, hearings and sentencing.
• Review summonses or tickets filed by arresting officers.
• Examine evidence, including witness statements and physical evidence.
• Determine whether a crime has been committed and assess the nature of the crime.
• Evaluate whether the evidence justifies prosecution.
