Job summary

Garfield Counseling Center Inc is seeking a Deputy Director to lead daily clinical and program operations for its opioid treatment and behavioral health services in Chicago.

The role requires extensive hands-on SUD/behavioral health clinical practice, supervision experience, and strong regulatory and grant-management skills. This is a full-time, in-person leadership position at the Chicago site.

Qualifications

• Extensive clinical experience in SUD or behavioral health.
• At least 5 years of direct clinical practice.
• At least 3 years in MOUD/MAT settings.
• 2+ years of clinical supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of relevant regulations (42 CFR Part 8, HIPAA).
• Grant management and reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership of OTP and outpatient behavioral health services.
• Supervise counselors, case managers, and support staff; ensure credentialing.
• Review clinical documentation for quality and medical necessity.
• Staff complex cases and support crisis response.
• Lead program development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Represent the organization with funders and partners.
