Job summary

American Fidelity seeks a senior security leader to integrate physical and technical security across facilities and personnel. You will work with the CSO to establish and implement security strategy for headquarters, field offices, and leadership.

The role includes representing the CSO in their absence, developing policies, ensuring MAR and SOC II Type 2 compliance, directing incident response, and educating staff on security best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related field preferred.
• 7-10 years of security experience.
• Extensive knowledge of technical and physical security and risk management.
• Experience with incident management and governance/compliance.
• Strong MS Office knowledge.
• Ability to liaison with outside agencies including law enforcement.

Responsibilities

• Integrate physical security with technical security for AFA facilities and personnel.
• Work with the CSO to establish and implement security strategy for headquarters, offices and leadership.
• Represent the CSO when unavailable and make decisions as needed.
• Develop, implement and review security policies, standards and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with MAR, SOC II Type 2 and other regulations.
• Direct and manage incident response requirements for security incidents.
• Educate and promote security awareness across the organization.
• Lead colleagues involved with security-related functions.
• Maintain knowledge of threats and present reports to senior leadership and Board members.
• Assist in budget considerations related to security.
