City of Rochester Hills is seeking a Deputy Director to provide strategic leadership over the City’s technology infrastructure. You will oversee cybersecurity defenses, guide governance on AI and LLM integrations, and manage third-party MSPs to ensure reliable, compliant IT operations.

The role requires coordinating with department heads, driving capital planning, and supervising MIS staff to deliver secure, scalable technology solutions for City services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS/CS or related field.
• Eight years of progressively responsible IT/security experience.
• Three years of supervisory experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsabilités

• Oversee cybersecurity defenses and governance.
• Lead MSP governance and third-party contractor oversight.
• Direct MIS staff and manage performance evaluations.
• Develop and map IT systems and cross-discipline cloud integrations.
• Monitor IT network health and troubleshoot architectural issues.
• Assist in budgeting and CIP planning for IT.
