Qualifications

• Provide technical and administrative direction for Border Patrol operations.
• Apply enforcement procedures and investigative techniques to plan, oversee, or evaluate enforcement activities.
• Coordinate Sector-wide intelligence, investigative, and interdiction activities.
• Inspect operations to determine effectiveness and compliance with sector and agency policies.

Responsibilities

• Direct Sector-wide planning and coordination of border security operations.
• Provide policy guidance and resolving complex issues involving laws, regulations, procedures, and operational impacts.
• Coordinate with federal, state, local, tribal, foreign, and non-governmental partners to support intelligence sharing and border security operations.
• Develop Sector organizational structures, policies, procedures, goals, and operating plans to achieve national Border Patrol objectives.
• Advise the Chief Patrol Agent on operational matters, program improvements, resource needs, and personnel actions.
