The National Nuclear Security Administration in Washington, DC is seeking a Deputy Associate Administrator for Information Management and Deputy CIO to lead IT initiatives, oversee complex projects, and set the technology direction for a federal agency.
The role requires coordinating with the Chief Information Security Officer on cybersecurity needs, developing information management policies, and representing NNSA in interagency and Congressional discussions. This position is telework eligible.

The Office of the Associate Administrator for Information Management (NNSA-OCIO) handles all matters related to information management, information technology and cybersecurity for the NNSA.
As the Deputy Associate Administrator for IM and Deputy CIO you will have the following duties: Provides direction, guidance, oversight, review, and approval on the technical, management and administrative direction of information technology (IT) initiatives, projects, and objectives; evaluates, modifies, and make recommendation on contractor design proposals.
Provides direction to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on the information management and cybersecurity needs of the organization. Communicates to business unit customers the direction of information management and cybersecurity technology initiatives. Ensures the development, promulgation and execution of oversight activities related to the development and implementation of information management and cybersecurity policies, standards and procedures.
Represents NNSA in external coordination (interagency, Congress, other Federal agencies and/or corporate entities) on information management and cybersecurity activities.

This position is with National Nuclear Security Administration, Department of Energy.
The posted pay range is $199172 – $228000/yr.
This position is eligible for telework.
This position requires a Q Access Authorization security clearance.
