Job summary

TSMG is seeking a Depot Operator/Specialist in New York to manage depot operations, assist with autonomous vehicle deployment, and ensure safety and efficiency in daily tasks. You will perform AV charging, system checks, and reporting while adhering to strict safety procedures.

The role requires flexibility for various shifts, including mornings and weekends, and physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Training and growth opportunities are available within the field data operations team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in depot/warehouse maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead launch and land functions for deploying autonomous vehicles during driverless operations.
• Clean and disinfect AVs; perform safety checks and charging; prep launches including system checks.
• Observe all safety procedures; follow depot safety manuals.
• Perform ad hoc projects in support of AV testing and delivery.
• Work shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overnight.

Role Overview

The Depot Operator/Specialist is responsible for perform all tasks necessary within operating facilities (Depot) to keep the operation running smoothly.

Eligibility

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree
• Preferred experience in working in depot/warehouse maintenance

Key responsibilities

• Leading the launch and land functions of deploying and returning autonomous vehicles during driverless operations
• Autonomous vehicle cleaning and disinfection; AV operational safety and integrity checks; AV charging; AV launch preparation including systems fire up checks; Parking and staging vehicles
• Strictly observe all applicable safety procedures while depot and also observe all Service Provider safety Procedure Manuals
• Perform ad hoc projects as needed, including those in support of AV testing, delivery
• Must be able to work specific shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends, as well as overnight shifts

Necessary Skills

• Adept in connecting & disconnecting laptops and charging cables
• Complete duties in a timely manner while adhering to schedules
• Complete daily reports and documents
• Must have good attention to detail and Adapt quickly to new and developing technology and processes;

Physical requirements

• Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Constant standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
• Ability to hear safety horns, pre-shift announcements/safety messages
