The position reports to the depot manager and requires a Florida driver’s license, a good driving record, and the ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

Qualifications

Key Results:

Reports to the depot manager to support day-to-day safety, sales, customer service, profitability and operation of a GoMulch wholesale/retail landscaper depot location. Operates an Isuzu dump truck (or similar). Delivery to customer job sites and/or homes and provide superior customer satisfaction.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Complies with the ALL4Zero Safety Program, establishing the vision of a zero-injury culture.
• Complies with company policies and procedures.
• This is a hands-on position. The Driver will work both inside the depot and outside in the yard to meet customer expectations.
• Delivers products (bulk mulch, rock, soil, pine straw, etc.) to customer locations using the company delivery truck (CDL license is not required).
• Performs daily Safety/PM checks to maintain trucks and other machinery such as forklifts, bucket loaders, etc.
• Responsible for the housekeeping/cleanliness of the depot and yard to provide a safe, professional and positive shopping experience for customers.
• Interfaces with customers to fulfill orders in a helpful and professional manner.
• Assist the depot manager in performing routine inventory counts and maintaining inventory accuracy.
• Able to operate forklift and bucket loader to move material from one location to another.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Experience and Education:

• High School diploma or GED or 1-3 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Certificate, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Florida driver’s license and good driving record required. Forklift certification is preferred. Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Communication Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and other policy and procedures. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.
• Command of the English language is mandatory. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Work hours are Monday-Friday: 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM and Saturday: 6:30 AM-12 Noon.
• The employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
• The employee is required to frequently stand use hands to finger; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel; crouch or crawl.
• The employee must have the capability to lift 50 lbs.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions (sun, heat and dust).
• Noise levels are usually moderate but may be loud at times when working near machinery.
