Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Deposit Portfolio Management is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of the assigned domain — either Forecasting and Analytics or Performance Management — with a high degree of independence. This role owns the core outputs of the domain, directs the analytical agenda within it, and is accountable for the accuracy, defensibility, and quality of the work product. The Senior Manager exercises independent judgment on methodology and approach, contributes to cross-functional operating relationships, and presents findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Builds, maintains, and continuously improves the models, behavioral reads, and scenario work the domain depends on.
  • Directs the analytical approach within the domain and sets the quality standard the work must meet.
  • Turns large, imperfect data sets into defensible outputs that pricing and planning decisions can rely on, and improves the analytical foundation as data quality matures.
Tool Operation and Capability Development
  • Operates and extends the tools and methodologies used by the function, including those transferred from the external partner, and adapts them as market conditions and business needs change.

  • Presents findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and defends the analytical approach and conclusions under challenge.
  • Maintains working relationships with Finance and Data and Analytics to ensure actuals, canonical data, and reconciliation inputs are accurate, timely, and consistently defined across functions.
  • Resolves methodology and data disagreements with partner functions and escalates unresolved issues with a recommended path forward.

  • Analyzes and resolves problems.
Additional Accountabilities

  • Demonstrated hands-on command of quantitative analysis and financial modeling applied to a deposit or balance sheet portfolio.
  • Demonstrated ability to own a forecast or performance model end to end, including assumptions, methodology, and output defense.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Banking or financial services experience, particularly consumer deposits.
  • Experience with deposit forecasting, behavioral modeling, or price elasticity analysis.
  • Experience operating a model or tool transferred from an external partner and extending it independently.
Job Competencies
  • Strong quantitative and financial modeling skills applied to a deposit or balance sheet portfolio, with the ability to own and defend the full methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment on analytical approach and explain what drives the output to a non-technical audience.
  • Fluency in deposit economics, including balances, rates, and cost of funds.
  • Comfort working with large, imperfect data and improving the answer as the data foundation matures.
