Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Deployment Network Engineer in Springfield, VA to design, deploy and manage mission-critical networks. You will configure devices, troubleshoot in CLI, draft technical docs, and support hybrid cloud/network strategies with Microsoft and clients. Travel ~50% is required; TS/SCI eligibility may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience and 3-5 years of network engineering.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting network devices in CLI environments.
• Experience with Layer 2/3 networking for efficient, resilient design.
• Understanding cloud networking: ExpressRoute, Azure Virtual Networks, and hybrid setups.
• Familiar with WAN/routing: BGP, MPLS, SD-WAN.
• Valid driver's license and passport; travel ~50%.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, deployment, and implementation of customer network systems and infrastructure.
• Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices; apply patches and configuration changes.
• Develop technical documentation for customer systems and objectives.
• Create network diagrams, rack elevations, and cable drawings.
• Work with Microsoft and customer personnel on strategies, network operations, and control objectives.
