Apex Systems is hiring a Network Deployment Technician for a large Navy client in Newport, RI. This 100% on-site role at Naval Station Newport requires active DoD clearance and hands-on experience with LAN/WAN networks.

Responsibilities include evaluating hardware/software, troubleshooting networks, administering LAN/WANs, scheduling cutovers, and coordinating with users across sites. A 4+ year background and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Current DoD-issued Secret clearance.
• CompTIA Security+ CE certification.
• CCNA certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in IT-related field (or equivalent experience).

Network Deployment Technician

Apex Systems is immediately hiring for a Network Deployment Technician with a large government client supporting the Navy in Newport, RI!

Location: 100% on-site at Naval Station Newport, RI

Schedule: M-F, Core Business Hours. 8-hour shifts; 40-hours/week

Estimated Duration: Long-term rolling

Pay Rate: $40.93/hour

Overview:

• Evaluate communication hardware and software, as well as troubleshoot Local Area Networks/Base Area Networks/Wide Area Networks (LAN/BAN/WAN)
• Handle network related problems
• Administer LAN/BAN/WANs
• Schedule conversions and cutovers
• Coordinate with all responsible users and sites
• Specialize experience in the performance and configuration of networks as well as the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer integrated networks

Requirements:

• Currently active, DoD-issued Secret Security Clearance
• CompTIA Security+ CE Certification
• CCNA Certification (or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment)
• 4+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in IT-related field (additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree)
