Qualifications

• Requires a degree in structural/ mechanical/ civil/ aerospace engineering
• 3+ years in structural design and analysis, preferably aerospace deployables
• Proficiency with Abaqus and numerical modeling
• Experience with nonlinear dynamics and thermal-structural interactions

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze composite, metallic, and hybrid deployable space structures
• Develop advanced finite element models for spaceflight structures
• Assess strength, stiffness, stability, dynamics, and environmental performance
• Create load cases for launch, on-orbit, and deployment environments
• Develop structural verification plans and correlate analysis to test data
• Support structural deployment mechanisms and material selection
• Mentor junior engineers on modeling best practices and standards
• Contribute to proposals and customer discussions as needed
