Job description

Position Overview

Serve as the lead worker for the Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) Field Services departmental technicians. Oversee daily activities, provide guidance, and coordinate work assignments. Ensure adherence to methods and policies. Collaborate with courts and the State Court Administrative Office to ensure timely delivery of court orders and troubleshoot data quality issues. Act as the point of contact for data troubleshooting within the unit. Ensure proper reporting of persons prohibited from possessing firearms for mental health reasons to the NICS Indices. Review mental health orders, enter, modify, or cancel orders in the system, determine NICS submission appropriateness, and ensure successful submissions. Prepare reports and perform other duties as directed. Perform all functions in a bias-free manner.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education: Typically completed high school.
  • Experience: Two years supervising administrative support activities at the 9-level in state service, or two years performing administrative support activities at the 9-level, or three years as a technician/paraprofessional including one year at the experienced level. A Bachelor's degree and one year of professional experience may substitute for the experience requirement.
