The Departmental Assistant, CVT Lab Instructor is a part-time instructor who supports instructional laboratories in the UMass Amherst Veterinary Technology Program. The CVT Lab Instructor provides hands‑on clinical instruction to students practicing essential skills according to best veterinary practices. This position will work alongside veterinary technology program faculty, staff and students providing fear free veterinary care to all patients and showing exemplary clinical skills. This position is capable of performing veterinary nursing skills, providing animal restraint, and teaching veterinary nursing procedures to veterinary technology students with kindness and clinical proficiency. This position is part‑time working up to 20 hours per week during the academic year (September‑May).
