Job description

Responsible for working closely with the category management departments to ensure development of category pricing strategies that align to enterprise guardrails and goals. This role will be a critical conduit between category management, division pricing analysts, and promo planning teams, among others. Responsibilities

• Oversee total everyday pricing strategies, ensuring alignment with enterprise guardrails, goals, and objectives
• Contribute to creation of corporate pricing strategies based on input from General Office (G.O.) departments
• Manage team of department aligned pricing managers to ensure development of relevant department and category price strategies that align with enterprise targets/guardrails
• Identify areas for price investment across enterprise, assesses opportunities/tradeoffs across depts
• Ensure a consistent view of corporate strategy and a common vision in store
• Ensure close collaboration and communication between category management, division Pricing, and department/division Promo Planning teams to share relevant pricing changes
• Work closely with Promo lead to understand impact of pricing decisions on total financials
• Work closely with department controllers and Finance to inform pricing inputs to the budgeting process and providing regular updates on forecast vs. budget
• Oversee competitive link development and maintenance
• Oversee competitive intelligence data quality processes ensuring accurate competitive visibility
• Serve as a pricing lead to work with 84.51's price/promo innovation team
• Collaborate with KTD in development of NEXT
• Develop top talent and reward success
• Ensure strong talent pipeline and succession planning, in collaboration with HR
• Create opportunities for growth, skill development, and career progression across specialized cohorts
• Recognize and celebrate success and effective collaboration while evaluating ways to evolve/sustain success
• Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports
• Travel 10% to divisions and market competitors
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications

Minimum

• Any demonstrated experience creating and using strategy to solve complex problems
• Any experience leading and managing a team with direct and indirect reports
• 3+ years working in pricing, merchandising or operations for a retailer
• Ability to influence across functions at all levels internally and externally
• Ability to identify metrics and key performance measures and use data to drive decisions which enhance the customer experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to adapt to changing needs and expectations
