Job summary

Dollar Tree, at our San Bernardino Distribution Center, is hiring a Department Manager for the 3rd shift (Thu-Sun, 5am-3:30pm). The role leads departmental operations and up to 20 associates, ensuring safe, efficient warehouse activities in line with company policies.

You will oversee Receiving, Order Selection, Shipping, and Equipment, drive adherence to safety and quality standards, coach supervisors, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of distribution center management or operations experience.
• Solid knowledge of distribution center practices and procedures.
• Strong leadership, administrative, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Experience managing multiple warehouse departments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee up to 20 associates and all related departmental functions within the Distribution Center.
• Support operations across Receiving, Order Selection, Shipping, and Equipment departments.
• Ensure merchandise is scheduled, received, unloaded, checked, replenished, selected, labeled, scanned, loaded, shipped, moved, and slotted as required by department.
• Lead, coach, and support supervisors and associates toward professional success.
• Ensure adherence to safety, sanitation, quality, and operational standards.
• Maintain compliance with Distribution Center practices and procedures.

About Your Role:

As a Department Manager at one of Dollar Tree’s Distribution Centers,you’llmanage and oversee departmental operations and associates within the Distribution Center.You’llensure daily warehouse activities are executed safely, efficiently, andin accordance withcompany policies and procedures. Your day-to-day jobduties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Department Operations:

• Manage and oversee up to 20 associates and all related departmental functions within the Distribution Center
• Support operations across Receiving, Order Selection, Shipping, and Equipment departments
• Ensure merchandise is scheduled, received, unloaded, checked, replenished, selected, labeled, scanned, loaded, shipped, moved, and slotted as required by department
• Complete all responsibilitiesin accordance withcompany policies, procedures, and operational standards

Leadership & Compliance:

• Lead, coach, and support supervisors and associates toward professional success
• Ensure adherence to non-negotiables related to safety, sanitation, quality, and operational standards
• Maintain compliance with Distribution Center practices and procedures

Your Required Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of three (3) years of distribution center management or operations experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Solid knowledge of distribution center practices and procedures
• Strong leadership, administrative, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Analytical ability to gather and interpret information and implement proactive solutions
• Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access
• Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience managing multiple warehouse departments within a distribution center environment
