Job summary

DH Pace Company, Inc. seeks a hands-on Service Manager to lead our service and installation teams, manage equipment and schedules, and maintain strong customer interfaces.

You will oversee budgeting and P&L for the department, mentor technicians and staff, and ensure high-quality service delivery across projects. Ideal candidates communicate well, are highly organized with a strong mechanical aptitude, and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; 2+ years’ supervisory or managerial experience in a commercial building products company that fixes/repairs/installs equipment/products.
• Excellent communicator, highly organized, and mechanically inclined.
• Must possess a Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service, installation, and repair operations; lead technicians and dispatch staff.
• Schedule work, dispatch, and assist with troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Maintain exceptional customer communication and service quality across projects.
• Develop, train, and hire technicians and administrative staff as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by leadership.

Position Overview

• Will have department Budget and P&L responsibility with the expectation of effectively controlling labor and material costs
• Manage and directly assist with employee/job scheduling/dispatching and provide assistance with technical/mechanical trouble-shooting/problem solving
• Effectively communicate with customers, ensuring the highest quality service is always provided
• Develop, train and hire technicians, office administrative personnel and interns/management trainees as necessary
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred
• Minimum two (2) years’ work experience; preferably with supervisory or managerial responsibilities with a commercial building products and materials company that fixes/repairs/installs equipment/products
• Must be an excellent communicator who is highly organized and possesses a good mechanical aptitude
• Must possess a Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
