Job description

What You’ll Do

As a Department Manager, you will own a department and focus on maximizing its sales, inventory, and standards. You will manage inventory, review and manage planograms and period layouts, order merchandise daily to meet demand, use data to drive sales and meet targets, and maintain stock file accuracy. You will hire, train, coach, and motivate a team of Sales Associates and Team Leaders to deliver an exceptional shopping experience.

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will have at least 2 years of retail leadership experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment and strong commercial acumen. Typical backgrounds include Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, or Department Manager.

  • You are nimble and adaptable, able to flex plans and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • You have strong communication skills and can relate to customer needs.
  • You are a role model who can lead, motivate, and inspire the team, building confidence and enthusiasm to deliver excellent store standards and customer service.
  • You are resilient, with proven ability to lead a team and provide constructive feedback.
  • You are commercially aware, understand the local market and key competitors, and use relevant systems and tools to improve options control and drive sales.
  • You possess good planning and organizational skills, prioritizing and working within agreed timescales.
  • You have experience supporting store management with protection of people, property and premises, securing cash, stock and property; keyholder responsibility including availability for emergency call‑outs.
  • You can effectively manage difficult situations and have good problem‑solving skills.
  • You can communicate effectively and efficiently, orally and in writing, with managers, supervisors, and hourly colleagues in English to provide instruction, coaching, corrective action, safety instructions and lead teams as a manager daily and in emergencies. You also provide excellent customer service in English.

The pay range for this role is: $65,520–$80,080. This is a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum we would pay for this role at the time of posting. The base pay rate offered will account for internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region of work, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
