Job summary

Richardson Oilseed Products US, a division of Richardson International, has an opening for a Deodorizer Assistant at our Memphis, TN facility. The role supports refinery operations, safety compliance, and equipment monitoring in a high-demand plant environment.

You will work with a team to maintain logs, perform checks, and assist in maintenance while complying with all policies and safety standards. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements and company policies.
• Participate in the day-to-day health and safety program and wear PPE.
• Report unsafe acts, incidents, near misses and injuries per procedure.
• Operate and monitor refinery and related processing equipment and control systems.
• Perform physical checks and troubleshoot equipment to identify and correct issues.
• Ensure each process operates within the given range of parameters.
• Complete logs and related paperwork in a timely, accurate manner.
• Sample at given intervals and perform related actions.
• Assist in basic preventative maintenance of equipment; participate in regular preventative maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand and comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies and procedures and general workplace rules
• Participate in the day to day health and safety program by working in a safe manner at all times:
  • Always using the required personal protective equipment
  • Ensuring that authorized work is completed safely
  • Utilizing required controls to prevent risk of exposure to hazards
  • Participating actively in incident investigations, training, and other health and safety initiatives
• Reporting all unsafe acts and conditions and all incidents, near misses and workplace injuries/illnesses as per company procedure
• Operate and monitor all refinery and related processing equipment and control systems
• Perform physical checks and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify and correct issues
• Ensure each process is operated within the given range of parameters
• Complete all logs and related paperwork in a timely, accurate and professional manner
• Sample at given intervals and perform related actions
• Assist in basic preventative maintenance procedures of equipment and basic general housekeeping standards
• Regular preventative maintenance as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and overtime when needed
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively
• Understand instruction and follow direction
• Work primarily in a warm to hot environment
• Good to advanced computer and systems skills
• Forklift skills preferred, but not required
• Must be capable of lifting and stacking 50 lbs
• High School diploma or GED required
