  • Facilitate Care Plans as directed by residents’ medical professionals.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents and preserving equipment.

LPN Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Administer care for patients in assisted living communities, nursing homes, and skilled nursing facilities.
  • Administer and document medications.
  • Provide resident care in accordance with federal, state, and local standards.
  • Facilitate Care Plans as directed by residents’ medical professionals.
  • At times, manage the activities of individual caregivers.
  • Promote the highest degree of quality care and services to residents, following community policies.
  • Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of residents.
  • Maintain resident confidentiality.
  • Become familiar with emergency equipment and procedures.
  • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents and preserving equipment.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of the community.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:
  • Nursing Degree from an accredited college/university or an approved LPN/LVN program.
  • Current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN in Colorado.
  • CPR certification.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check as well as Colorado CAPS background check.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Previous experience working with seniors is preferred and a desire to serve and care for seniors.
  • Ability to make decisions and act in the resident’s best interest.
  • Ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
