Job summary

Correctional Healthcare Partners is seeking a dedicated Dentist to join Whatcom County Corrections on a part-time basis. Under supervision of the HSA, on-site Medical Director, and CMD/CMO, the Dentist provides comprehensive dental services while ensuring compliance with NCCHC, ACA, and community standards in a correctional setting.

Location: Whatcom County Jail • Schedule: 24 Hours Per Week • Pay Rate: $110/hour.

Qualifications

• Washington license to practice dentistry with active status.
• DEA registration current.
• CPR certification current.
• Minimum 2–3 years of dental practice experience.
• Administrative or leadership experience preferred.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine and urgent dental care services
• Perform assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with medical and custody staff to support patient care
• Ensure compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards
• Support quality improvement initiatives and dental program operations
