Job summary

Columbia Veterans Health Administration is recruiting a General Dentistry dental officer to perform a full range of professional dental procedures for common dental diseases and health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative, or preventive measures.

The candidate will be proficient in general dentistry, with capabilities in examinations, diagnoses, local anesthesia, restorations, extractions, prosthodontics, endodontics, and related procedures within a general dentist's scope.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform routine and complex dental procedures.
• Proficiency in exam, diagnosis, anesthesia administration and radiographic interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive oral examinations and radiographs.
• Diagnose and treat common dental diseases with standard restorative, preventive, or corrective measures.
• Perform routine and complex dental restorations, extractions, prosthodontics, and endodontic procedures.
• Provide general dentistry within the scope of a general dentist.
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:00pm.

Columbia Veterans Health Administration is recruiting for a general practice dental officer, who will perform a full range of professional dental procedures in connection with the treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative, or preventive measures.

The General Dentistry dental officer shall be proficient in all aspects of general dentistry including the ability to perform selected specialty services. Specifically, the provider should possess the expertise and competency to perform the following: Make oral and radiographic examinations of the oral cavity Diagnose pathological or irregular oral conditions. Administer local anesthesia.

Perform routine and complex restoration of teeth. Perform simple and complex extractions of teeth. Perform alveoloplasty and other routine surgical procedures. Perform prosthetic dentistry to include immediate dentures, full dentures, partial dentures, crowns and fixed bridge work. Perform routine endodontic procedures on single and multi-canal teeth. Perform routine and surgical procedures within the scope of a general dentist.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm.
