Job summary

A community health center in California seeks a Pediatric Dentist to join its team. Major Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to:

Core Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of pediatric dentistry.
• Perform oral exams, restorations, extractions, and prophylactic work.
• Serve as a member of a cross‑functional team of Dentists that provides exceptional patient care, and performs four‑handed dentistry and oral surgery.
• Treat mouth diseases and confer with physicians regarding medical/dental problems, and assign patients to plaque control or other educational programs.
• Attend staff conferences; keep clinical and other records regarding services provided, supplies and materials used.

The role is most suited to a pediatric dentist with 1‑2 years of experience in a primary care clinic setting. Ideally, your fluency in Spanish will enable you to better serve our culturally diverse patients. Ultimately, success in this role will require a high degree of interpersonal competence, which includes building effective relationships with all team members and patients.

Required Skills

• Requires graduation from an accredited school of dentistry; possession of valid D.D.S./D.M.D. license to practice in the State of California.
• Must specialize in pediatric dentistry.
• Ability to operate all types of dental equipment and machinery.
• Ability to work across cultures and demonstrate support of diversity, equity and inclusion.

Required Experience

• Two or more years of experience in all phases of general dentistry and auxiliary utilization.
