Summary

About the Position: This position is located at Dental Health Activity (DENTAC), Fort Benning, GA. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. This is an open continuous announcement. We accept applications on an ongoing basis; qualified applicants will be considered as vacancies become available.

Major Duties
  • Treat common dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective, restorative or preventive measures such as single and multiple teeth extractions and restoration of simple and compound cavities.
  • Acquire mouth impressions of crowns, jackets, dentures and bridges and fit and insert the finished appliances.
  • Consult with and refer patients to other appropriate specialists.
  • Conduct prophylaxis treatment, deep scaling and root planning.
  • Utilize professional dentistry knowledge and skills to diagnose and treat patients.
  • Submit performance data, dental records, consultation requests and other dental records in approved information management system.
Education
