Job summary

Gentle Dental Edmond, OK is seeking a General Dentist who loves endodontic care and wants to dedicate the majority of their practice to root canal therapy and related procedures within general dentistry.

You will work with a collaborative team across specialties, enjoy a steady flow of internal referrals, and maintain clinical autonomy while benefiting from the organization's technology, support, and patient base.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school.
• Active Oklahoma dental license (or ability to obtain prior to employment).
• Current DEA registration, CPR certification, and NPI.
• Demonstrated experience and confidence performing endodontic procedures.
• Commitment to evidence-based dentistry and exceptional patient care.
• Excellent communication and treatment planning skills.
• Interest in building an endodontic-focused practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide endodontic care with emphasis on root canal therapy for anterior, premolar, and molar teeth.
• Endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning in collaboration with specialists.
• Emergency endodontic treatment and management of dental pain.
• Coordinate with general dentists for referrals and case discussions.
• Maintain clinical autonomy within the scope of general dentistry.

Scope of Practice

This position is designed for General Dentists who enjoy providing endodontic care within the scope permitted by Oklahoma law.

Procedures may include:

• Root canal therapy on anterior teeth
• Root canal therapy on premolars
• Molar root canal therapy
• Endodontic diagnosis and treatment planning
• Emergency endodontic treatment
• Pulpotomies and pulpectomies
• Management of endodontic emergencies and dental pain
• Core buildups following endodontic treatment
• Collaboration with specialists for complex retreatments, apicoectomies, or other cases requiring specialty care

Patient scheduling will be structured to maximize efficiency while allowing sufficient clinical time for high-quality endodontic treatment.
