Job summary

Kids Dental Brands is seeking a Dentist Anesthesiologist to support pediatric patients in our Ohio practices, including Cuyahoga Falls. You will provide anesthesia services in collaboration with pediatric and general dentists within our clinician-led system.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Anesthesiology residency program.
• Dental Anesthesia Specialty Certificate.
• Valid state dental license to practice as a Dentist Anesthesiologist (OH).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary dental team.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to pediatric patients during dental procedures.
• Collaborate with pediatric and general dentists to develop anesthesia plans based on patient needs.
• Monitor vital signs and patient response before, during, and after anesthesia administration.
• Respond to anesthesia emergencies or complications.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records related to anesthesia services.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative education to patients and families.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements for anesthesia administration.

Our Dentist Anesthesiologists are essential members of our clinical teams, providing anesthesia services for pediatric patients, including those with dental anxiety, special healthcare needs, complex treatment requirements, and patients who benefit from advanced behavior management support.

You will collaborate closely with our providers to develop individualized anesthesia plans while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety before, during, and after procedures.

Position Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing dental procedures while ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal care throughout treatment
• Collaborate with pediatric dentists, general dentists, and clinical teams to develop individualized anesthesia plans based on patient needs
• Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia administration, including vital signs, sedation levels, and overall patient response
• Recognize and respond appropriately to medical emergencies or anesthesia-related complications
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records related to anesthesia services
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative education and instructions to patients and families
• Follow all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and best practices related to anesthesia administration
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and collaborative care initiatives
• Maintain current knowledge of advancements in dental anesthesia techniques and patient safety practices through continuing education
• Contribute to a positive, supportive, and collaborative clinical environment

Position Qualifications

• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
• Completion of an accredited Dental Anesthesiology residency program
• Dental Anesthesia Specialty Certificate
• Valid state dental license and certification to practice as a Dentist Anesthesiologist in (State)
• Strong clinical skills and experience administering anesthesia in a dental setting
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or ability to obtain)
