Job summary

Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services company, is seeking a Dentist (Locum Tenens) to serve beneficiaries of the Indian Health Service's Fort Belknap Service Unit in Harlem, Montana. The Dentist shall deliver quality care with emphasis on cultural sensitivity and human dignity.

This full-time, 1099 position offers $160/hr with malpractice insurance covered. Responsibilities include exams, crowns, fillings, implants, extractions, endodontics, and radiographs.

Qualifications

• Permanent, current, full and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the United States.
• DDS or DMD degree from CODA-accredited dental school.
• Active BLS or ACLS.
• Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience.

Responsibilities

• Exams, crowns, fillings, bridges, dentures, implants, root canals, simple extractions, surgical extractions, endo molar, endo sealants, partials, X-rays, Invisalign.
• Be present on time for any scheduled clinics as documented by physical presence in the clinic at the scheduled start time.
• Provide consultation with referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for procedures so that the most expeditious and clinically appropriate work-up can be done.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings with committee participation as required by the IHS Clinical Director, Chief Dental Officer, Chief of Staff, or designee.
• Attend staff meetings as required by the IHS Clinical Director, Chief Dental Officer, Chief of Staff, or designee.
• Complete QM/PI documentation pertaining to all procedures, complications and outcome of examinations.
• Document care given and select appropriate E&M codes in EHR.
• Follow patient safety and infection control standards of care.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Details

• 1099, rate $160/hr
• Full time, Monday-Friday
• Chenega covers medical malpractice insurance
• Patient Volume: Minimum of 8 per day

Responsibilities

• Exams, crowns, fillings, bridges, dentures, implants, root canals, simple extractions, surgical extractions, endo molar, endo sealants, partials, X-rays, Invisalign.
• Employment of the principles of dental care. Initial and follow-up evaluation, treatment and management for dental care.
• Be present on time for any scheduled clinics as documented by physical presence in the clinic at the scheduled start time.
• Provide consultation with and instruction to referring physicians regarding appropriate indications for procedures so that the most expeditious and clinically appropriate work-up can be done.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and meetings with committee participation as required by the IHS Clinical Director, Chief Dental Officer, Chief of Staff, or designee.
• Attend staff meetings as required by the IHS Clinical Director, Chief Dental Officer, Chief of Staff, or designee.

Qualifications

• Permanent, current, full and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in a state, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
• Graduate of an accredited dental school approved by the commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) of the American Dental Association (ADA) with either a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of dental Medicine (DMD) degree.
• Active BLS or ACLS.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience.
