Job summary

Marin Community Clinics, a multi-clinic health network in Marin County, seeks a Dentist to provide preventative and clinical dental services in a community health setting. The role includes utilizing EPIC, Dexis X-ray, and NextGen EHR systems, delivering high-quality care, and guiding staff per policies and CA law.

Flexibility to work evenings/weekends at San Rafael/Novato clinics; requires ADA-accredited education, CA license, BLS, DEA, and 1–2 years general dentistry experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ADA-accredited dental school.
  • Possession of a valid DDS or DMD license to practice dentistry in the State of California.
  • Active California Dental License in good standing.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Active DEA registration.
  • One to two years of experience in general dentistry.
  • Completion of a GPR or AEGD program is preferred.
  • Prior experience in a community health or public health dental setting is highly desirable.
  • Experience providing dental care to pediatric patients is preferred.
  • Experience in oral surgery and endodontics is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a bi-cultural or multicultural dental clinic environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is a plus.

  • Manages and directs staff assignments and activities in accordance with Marin Community Clinics, Dental Compliance Policies and Procedures, Dental Manual, and applicable California Laws.
  • Provides teledentistry services and must feel comfortable delivering dental services, via remote access.
  • Flexibility is a must. Dentist may have to perform hygiene duties independently on an as needed basis.
  • Expected to treat other patients that are on the clinic’s schedule in addition to treating assigned patients.

Dentist handles all aspects of general dentistry. Diagnoses and treats patients consistent with her/his training and expertise.

Salary Range

The salary range stated below is based on a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE).

  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends as necessary in either San Rafael and/or Novato clinics.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills to maintain and establish good relationships with dental team and patients.
  • Excellent communication skills.
Physical Requirements And Working Conditions
  • May be required to occasionally lift at least 20 – 25lbs.
  • Prolonged standing, walking and working on a computer.
