About the Role
The Dentist prevents and maintains oral health of the community through a collaborative and patient-centered team-approach to healthcare. This role exists to provide dental services to patients within the DDS/DMD scope of Practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality oral health care within the scope of licensure and in accordance with clinical standards, best practices, and SCHS policies and procedures.
- Deliver patient-centered, integrated care through collaboration with other members of the care team and a commitment to reducing barriers to oral health services.
- Maintain an assigned patient schedule and complete clinical documentation, coding, EHR tasks, and other administrative responsibilities accurately and timely.
- Provide oral health education to patients and community groups as appropriate.
- Support the training, mentorship, and day-to-day development of oral health team members and participate in peer review and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain required licensure, certification, credentialing, and continuing education requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, committees, and other organizational activities as needed.
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, sound judgment, and adherence to SCHS clinical, operational, safety, and risk-management expectations.
- Perform other duties consistent with the role and scope of practice as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:
- DDS/DMD and graduate of an accredited school of dentistry.
- Valid and active Minnesota license and DEA Controlled Substance Registration Certificate required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Licenses and certifications in good standing.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; not required.
Position Details and Benefits
This is a full-time(1.0 FTE), salary, exempt position with pay starting at $160,000/annually. This position is ELIGIBLE FOR STUDENT LOAN FORGIVENESS

This position operates in a professional dental clinic environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment.
- Ability to perform clinical and administrative duties that may require extended periods of sitting or standing, movement throughout the clinic, and occasional lifting or moving of items up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to use standard office equipment and clinical instruments and equipment necessary for oral health care.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and team members and observe clinical information and patient cues necessary for safe and effective care.
- May occasionally assist patients with positioning or mobility and access supplies stored throughout the clinic.
- Requires use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) based on assigned duties and applicable safety standards.
- This is an on-site, patient-facing position requiring regular and reliable attendance and the ability to maintain assigned patient schedules and clinical coverage.
