Job summary

First Flight Health Centers in Dayton, OH is seeking a Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care at our East Dayton Dental Center. The role includes diagnosing and treating patients of all ages, maintaining the appointment schedule, and coordinating with staff to ensure high-quality care.

A DDS/DMD, Ohio license, DEA license, and CPR certification are required; experience with underserved communities is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on dental care in various settings with high quality and safety.
  • Maintain full appointment schedule for office practice.
  • Provide a full range of general dental services within scope of training.
  • Utilize diagnostic and treatment techniques.
  • Refer patients to specialists when appropriate.
  • Prescribe pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens as needed.
  • Direct and coordinate dental staff activities.
  • Adhere to policies and infection control standards.

First Flight Health Centers is seeking a dentist to work in our East Dayton Dental Center . The dentist will provide professional, high-quality dental diagnosis, treatment and education to a broad range of patients, including children, adolescents and adults.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provides hands-on dental care in a variety of settings while achieving the highest levels of appropriateness, quality, efficiency, accessibility and responsiveness
  • Maintains full appointment schedule for office practice and other settings
  • Provides a full range of general dental services within the dentist’s defined scope of training
  • Utilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment techniques
  • Refers patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate
  • Prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications and treatment regimens as appropriate
  • Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of dental technical and support staff as required
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental and/or infection control standards. Maintains necessary credentialing, licensure and continuing education requirements

Required Knowledge, Experience or Licensure/Registration

  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in general dentistry. Previous dental practice experience with low income/underserved communities preferred.
  • Current licensure in the state of Ohio
  • Valid DEA license
  • Current CPR/AED certification
