Job summary

The Dentist II role at Vernon State Hospital in Vernon, TX, is part of HHSC’s Dental Clinical Services. You will provide dental services to residents, oversee dentists, dental hygienists and assistants, and advance best practices to elevate oral health for individuals served.

Must be licensed in Texas with a current DEA registration and an NPI. Two years of dentistry experience are required, along with ability to work a day shift.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college of dentistry with a Doctor of Dentistry degree.
• Two (2) years of dentistry experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides dental services to residents at Vernon State Hospital and community-based settings.
• Oversees other dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants as assigned by the Dental Director.
• Evaluates dental care and makes recommendations to improve oral health and function.
