Responsibilities

• Sterilizes dental instruments and trays; assembles, wraps, decontaminates, and sterilizes instruments following standard precautions.
• Maintains inventory of equipment; restocks, labels, distributes instruments and trays.
• Performs environmental maintenance and services on sterilization equipment; monitors autoclave function and biological testing.
• Cleans and prepares operatory; assists with waterline testing and maintenance of operatory equipment.
• Screens phone calls and schedules patients; refers patients to programs as needed.
