Job summary

Glidewell Dental in Irvine, CA is seeking a skilled dental scanner technician to support digital workflows. You will create case pans, import scans into 3Shape and related software, and evaluate impression quality, margins and bite alignment.

The role requires careful attention to detail and the ability to correct scan issues using in-lab tools. You will also convert STL files, update product codes, and compare remakes to ensure high-fit restorations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in dental industry preferred.
• Experience with 3Shape, Gelios, In-Lab, DL-Plus, GCM and GO Module preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates case pan.
• Creates order form and imports scans in 3shape, CPS and/or other designated software/program.
• Evaluates the scan file including digital impression quality, clearance, bite, and contact margin.
• Removes distortions and debris on scans using designated software/program.
• Trims and marks margins according to specifications utilizing in-lab application.
• Matches pre-op with preparation scan using pre-preparation/Gelios if digital study impression is provided.
• Converts STL files.
• Evaluates remakes using old and new files to compare and resolve issues.
• Aligns bite scans and corrects logins.
• Updates product codes using DL Plus as necessary.
