Job summary

The University at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine, is seeking a highly organized and motivated Sr Research Support Specialist to join the Periodontics research laboratory in the Department of Periodontics and Endodontics. The Lab Manager will oversee day-to-day laboratory operations, coordinate research activities and data management, and maintain regulatory and safety compliance.

Reporting to the Principal Investigator, Renato Casarin, the researcher will supervise and train research staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biomedical sciences, public health, or a related science field.
• Experience working in a research laboratory or research program.
• Working knowledge of laboratory safety practices and ability to follow all Biosafety Level 2 ( BSL-2) requirements.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
