Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients as they enter the office to create a positive first impression
- Manage front office duties, including answering phones, checking mail and email, and communicating with patients and insurance companies
- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and records
- Schedule and confirm appointments for multiple providers
- File patient insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims, verify benefits and explain coverage
- Post insurance and patient payments and process accounts receivable
- Review treatment plan fees and payment options with patients
- Partner with providers and team to implement Heartland Dental systems to optimize office potential

About St. Paul Oral Surgery
St. Paul Oral Surgery is part of Heartland Dental supported offices and values collaboration, communication, and community.
- Join a 9-person team that emphasizes teamwork
- Salary: $20-22/hour
- Schedule: Monday–Friday with early start times
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Access to minimum PHI; HIPAA training required; protect PHI and maintain data safeguards
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience
- 1+ years in a dental or medical setting
- 1+ years with insurance billing and accounts receivable
- Dentrix or other dental software experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties with/without reasonable accommodation
- Prolonged sitting at a desk and computer work
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
- Occasional virtual or in-person training sessions
- TB test required for new hires in dental offices (excluding FL & TN)
