Job summary

Air Techniques, Inc. in New York is seeking an experienced electro-mechanical assembler to build components and assemblies for dental devices, such as air compressors and vacuums, with limited supervision.

You will set up equipment, read drawings, maintain quality records, and support safety and training. A High School diploma and 2–3 years' related experience are preferred; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of Electro-mechanical assembler experience in a dental, medical or military equipment company preferred.
• Knowledge and use of basic assembly hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, drills).
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Read and follow engineering drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and subassemblies per drawings and work instructions.
• Set up and operate equipment to meet specs.
• Follow safety and environmental policies; wear PPE.
• Maintain quality and production records.
• Assist with training and cross-training others.
• Inspect finished products for conformance to specs.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
