Job summary

National Dentex Laboratories (NDX) Heumann Dental Laboratory in Topeka, KS is seeking a Dental Lab Technician (Denture Model) entry-level trainee. No experience required; hands-on, paid training provided.

The regular hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with benefits including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; 401K with company contribution; and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No experience required; paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Read prescriptions and specifications from dentist.
• Place completed work cards on case pans with correct information.
• Disinfect all case components using proper procedures.
• Pour models from impressions in the proper material.
• Number all models and impressions with case numbers.
• Place models on appropriate articulator using correct technique.
• Articulate models using bites provided by doctor or hand articulating to correct bite relationship.
• Check case for correct doctor information, finish date, product, metal type, and follow up questions for next day.
• Maintain a clean work area daily.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry! We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have several labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Dental Lab Technician (Denture Model) opportunity at NDX Heumann Dental Laboratory in Topeka, KS. This is a trainee position that requires no experience. Hands-on, paid training is provided.

The regular hours for this position are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

• Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist
• Place completed computer work cards on proper case pans, reviewing doctor, product and finish date information for correctness
• Disinfect all case components using the appropriate disinfection procedure
• Pour models from impressions received from doctors in the proper material
• Number all models and impressions with case number
• Place models on appropriate type of articulator using correct technique
• Articulate models by using bites sent by doctor or hand articulating to correct bite relationship
• Check case for correct doctor information, finish date, product, metal type, and fabrication questions that need to be called on the next day
• Clean work area daily
• All other duties as assigned

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
• Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
• Detail oriented

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

• Preferred: High school diploma or GED equivalent
• No experience required
