Job summary

Glidewell Dental in Memphis seeks a trainee to learn and assist in fabricating and repairing dental prostheses and appliances, including dentures, crowns and bridges, and veneers. You will read prescriptions, familiarize yourself with materials, and work under supervision to gain hands-on experience.

No prior experience is required, but a background in dental work or dexterity-based roles is a plus, and you will progressively perform more complex tasks under supervision.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required.
• Prior dental experience or background, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn basic tooth morphology and anatomy.
• Learn to fabricate and repair dental prosthesis and dental appliances such as dentures, partials, crowns and bridges, inlay/onlay, veneers, and implant restorations.
• Learn to read and interpret dental prescriptions.
• Familiarize with materials used in fabricating dental restorations (metal, porcelain, composites, acrylics, etc.).
• Develop technical knowledge to decide fabrication approaches for dental prosthesis.
• May learn to replace partial or total loss of natural teeth by constructing dentures.
