Job summary

Affordable Care, LLC is seeking an entry-level Dental Laboratory Processor Technician to support the fabrication of dentures and dental prosthetics in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

The role involves hands-on plaster bench work, model preparation, case articulation, polishing, and adherence to safety standards. Training will be provided to develop skills across multiple dental lab tasks and processes.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0–6 months of experience trimming and pouring denture models preferred.
  • Prior plaster bench experience preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with dental models or prosthetic materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pour dental impressions into plaster to create denture models.
  • Trim and prepare plaster models for processing.
  • Articulate dental cases according to established procedures.
  • Polish dentures and removable prosthetics to quality standards.
  • Assist with preparation and processing of dentures and other prosthetics.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all production stages.
  • Follow OSHA protocols and laboratory safety procedures.
  • Cross-train in other areas as needed.

Dental Laboratory Processor Technician | Entry-Level Dental Lab Technician
Join Our Dental Laboratory Team

We are seeking a detail-oriented Dental Laboratory Processor Technician to support the fabrication of high-quality dentures and dental prosthetics for patients. This hands-on position performs essential laboratory processing tasks, including pouring and trimming plaster models, articulating dental cases, polishing dentures, and assisting with various stages of prosthetic fabrication.

This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate interested in building a career as a Dental Laboratory Technician, Denture Technician, or Dental Prosthetics Technician. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with their hands, has strong hand-eye coordination, and can maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced, team-oriented dental laboratory.

Job Summary

The Dental Laboratory Processor Technician supports the denture fabrication process by preparing accurate models, articulating cases, polishing dental prosthetics, and performing other laboratory production duties.

The successful candidate will be organized, dependable, mechanically inclined, and willing to learn and cross-train in multiple areas of the dental laboratory.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Pour dental impressions into plaster to create accurate denture models.
  • Trim and prepare plaster models for further dental laboratory processing.
  • Articulate dental cases according to established laboratory procedures.
  • Polish dentures and removable dental prosthetics to meet quality standards.
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of dentures and other dental prosthetics.
  • Perform various dental laboratory duties as assigned.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail throughout all stages of laboratory production.
  • Follow established OSHA protocols and dental laboratory safety procedures.
  • Cross-train in other areas of the dental laboratory as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory work environment.
  • Work collaboratively with dental laboratory technicians and team members to complete cases efficiently and accurately.
Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience
  • 0–6 months of experience trimming and pouring denture models preferred.
  • Previous plaster bench experience preferred.
  • Prior dental laboratory, dental assisting, manufacturing, production, or other hands-on technical experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience working with dental models or prosthetic materials is beneficial.

The Dental Laboratory Processor Technician position provides an excellent entry point into the dental laboratory profession. You'll gain practical experience with plaster bench techniques, denture model preparation, model trimming, dental case articulation, denture polishing, and dental prosthetic processing while working alongside experienced laboratory professionals.

With continued training and cross-training, this position can provide a strong foundation for advancement into Dental Laboratory Technician, Denture Technician, and other specialized dental laboratory roles.
