Job summary

Mid TN Dentistry - Franklin is seeking a licensed dental hygienist to deliver high-quality preventive care and patient education. You will assess dental health, perform cleanings, take and develop X-rays, apply fluoride or sealants, and maintain equipment with a focus on patient comfort and safety.

You will record medical histories, educate patients on oral hygiene, and ensure compliance with state regulations and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide superior patient care and service. Exhibit outstanding service and hospitality.
• Record and review patient medical histories.
• Examine gums and use wing probes to identify periodontal issues and signs of gum disease.
• Palpate lymph nodes in the neck to detect swelling or possible oral cancer.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and links between periodontal and systemic health.
• Clean deposits and stains from teeth; apply fluoride or sealants.
• Chart conditions for diagnosis and treatment by the dentist.
• Maintain dental equipment and sterilize instruments.
• Expose and develop x-ray film.
• Provide clinical services or health education to improve oral health.
