Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a Dental Hygienist to support the dental institute’s patient re-care program and deliver approved periodontal treatments. The role reports to the Director of Clinical Faculty and is a 32-hour-per-week position.

The successful candidate will work with dental students and staff to provide high-quality patient care. Requirements include IL Dental Hygiene License and an Associate degree in dental hygiene; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold an IL Dental Hygiene License.
• Associate degree in dental hygiene required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of dental hygiene experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; team player.
• Experience with Axium or similar dental software is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Prepare treatment room for patient and adhere to protocols.
• Assist in dental hygiene treatments and patient management.
• Maintain instrumentation and sterilization.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-care instructions.
• Document services in Axium and maintain patient records.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and safe work environment.
• Maintain inventory and equipment maintenance guidelines.
• Collaborate with faculty and practice assistants to manage schedules.
