Job summary

Ocean Dental in Shawnee, OK is seeking a friendly dental hygienist to join our brand new clinic in Shawnee. This as-needed position offers flexibility and a great way to supplement your current income.

You will assist the dentist by cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth, taking and processing X-rays, and recording evaluations to support diagnosis and treatment planning. You’ll educate patients on preventive care and reinforce the doctor’s treatment plan for lasting oral health.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a hygienist and CPR certificate required.
• 1+ years of hygienist experience preferred.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.

Responsibilities

The Hygienist assists the dentist in providing oral health to patients by cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth. Takes and processes x-rays. Records evaluation of mouth conditions and extent of prophylaxis on dental chart to provide dentist with information for more complete diagnosis and subsequent treatment if needed. Provides the patient with ongoing preventative oral care through patient education, treatment, and reinforcement of the doctor’s treatment plan.
