Job summary

My Smile Folsom is seeking a skilled Registered Dental Hygienist for a part-time role in a high-end private practice in Folsom, CA. Join a patient-centric team that values prevention, education, and long-term patient relationships.

Responsibilities include prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, radiography, digital charting, and collaborative treatment planning with Dr. Metsger. Applicants should hold a CA RDH license and CPR/BLS, with Dentrix/Open Dental/Eaglesoft experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active California Registered Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
• Current CPR / BLS certification.
• X-ray / Radiography certification and local anesthesia nitrous oxide training.
• Experience with Dentrix preferred; training available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive clinical care including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and periodontal therapy.
• Take high‑quality dental X‑rays and perform precise digital charting.
• Educate patients on home care and preventative oral hygiene.
• Collaborate with Dr. Metsger on treatment planning and diagnosis.

Pay

• $65 - $70 per hour

Shift & Schedule

Job Type: Part-time (3 Days per week)

Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday

Requirements

• License & Certification: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, Licensed dental hygienist
• Software Experience: Open Dental, Eaglesoft

Licensure: Active and unrestricted California Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) License in good standing.

Certifications: Current CPR / BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

Software Proficiency: Prior experience navigating Dentrix dental software is highly preferred (though we are happy to train the right candidate).

Soft Skills: A warm, compassionate bedside manner, excellent communication skills, and a genuine love for building long-term patient relationships.
