Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program or two-year certificate.
• Appropriate state licensure is required.
• Knowledge of English language concepts and customer service is essential.
• Ability to work with computers and dental practice software.

Responsibilities

• Cleans calcareous deposits, accretions, and stains from teeth.
• Feels lymph nodes under patient’s chin to detect swelling.
• Examines gums for signs of disease.
• Exposes and develops X-ray film.
• Provides clinical services and health education to maintain oral health.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
